International Builders’ Show recap

Progress Lighting exhibited and attended the NAHB International Builders’ Show last week and – wow! – it was such a great experience.

The annual construction industry show not only gives us a chance to showcase our new products (It’s so wonderful to see the fixtures up close and personal. You can really see the different textures in the glass, the unique finish selections and the details that set each family or collection apart), but also allows us to talk to those in the industry who we are serving.

  • This week we spoke with architects who are looking for ways to make it easier to specify new products for projects.
  • We spoke with designers who are looking for the perfect collection of fixtures to incorporate in upcoming projects. (We even spoke with a designer who just incorporated all of Progress’ LED lighting into her own home!).
  • Electrical contractors are trying to find energy efficient fixtures that meet federal and state legislative mandates for reducing energy consumption in buildings.  They want to know: will this product fit my needs? Does it live up to the claims? How long will this fixture REALLY last?
  • And we also spoke with distributors with whom we have enjoyed working. Swift Electrical Supply stopped by our booth to tell us they have been working with Progress Lighting since 1943!

Thanks to everyone stopping by our booth at the show and sharing your thoughts, questions and comments.  Next stop: Dallas Market Center!
