Bromley Estates Luxury Home Tour with Doris Pearlman

Bromley Estates Luxury Home Tour with Doris Pearlman

A few months ago we shared a preview of Toll Brothers’ Bromley Estates home in Charlotte, NC, which was the setting of our recently launched HGTV commercial.

Today, we’re going into depth with a Q&A with award-winning designer Doris Pearlman, of Possibilities for Design (pictured below) and sharing more images of these stunning spaces!

Join us as we explore more of this luxury home below:

Progress Lighting: What was your vision/design intent around each room of the home? (Specifically the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and dining room)

Doris Pearlman: Our ultimate goal was to design an elegant and transitional home to be marketed in an elite golf course community of luxury homes.

017_BEAW_Henley_4_17_13_920The first room that potential homebuyers see is the dining room, so it had to be a strong memory point and first impression. The overall vision of this room is upbeat and traditional, designed with a classic vision in mind. The room is brought together by the Noir chandelier (accompanied by wall sconces from the same collection), which reflects up to the coffered ceiling. We multiplied the lighting’s effect on the room by using an oversized mirror above the buffet to reflect the chandelier one more time.
The kitchen has a striking color mix of a cream island and glaze cabinets – which is accented by Progress Lighting’s Bay Court pendants – with a perimeter of espresso uppers and lowers. It has the look of a luxury, custom home.
The master bath continues this luxurious look by featuring a freestanding tub and 12-foot ceiling. In order to emphasize the scale of the room, we used Progress Lighting’s Nissé chandelier to truly compliment the architecture of the space.
Progress Lighting: How was lighting used to bring your vision to life?

Doris Pearlman: Lighting is always the final piece and the finishing touch to any room. Just like a piece of jewelry can transform a woman’s ensemble, lighting is like the jewelry of the home. It can take an ordinary room and literally transform it into the memory point of the house.

Bromley Estate’s stunning entryway is accented by a double staircase and layered lighting.

Progress Lighting: Were there any rooms in particular in which you felt the lighting really “stole the show”?

Doris Pearlman: The lighting stole the show in this entire model – as you can tell! It is the center at which people are fixated. You can especially see its appeal in the dining room and master bath.

Progress Lighting: Do you think the HGTV commercial appropriately conveyed the “story” of your design?

Doris Pearlman: Yes, I think it fit perfectly, with an elegant couple in an elegant home.
