Designer Series with Possibilities for Design – part 1 of 3

Ever since we caught a glimpse of how Possibilities for Design incorporated Progress Lighting into their residential applications, we knew we wanted to interview them as part of our Designer Series – to tap into and learn from their expertise.

For more than three decades, Possibilities for Design has specialized in creative interior design and interior merchandising solutions for homebuilders in need of compelling – yet inviting – model homes.

They have incorporated our fixtures in so many refreshing and unexpected ways, and we encourage you to read more about their thoughts on how lighting complements current home décor trends.

According to Doris Pearlman, president of Possibilities for Design, lighting has become hugely important to the homebuilder.

“Lighting can change or add to the overall design in the house. Because of the functional and decorative elements lighting fixtures bring, they immediately impact the look of a room.”

In a recent interview, Doris also mentioned that individuals are gravitating towards sleek designs that are straightforward and have strong lines. An example can be seen below with Progress Lighting’s bath and vanity fixtures contributing to a space with minimalist undertones (also in a Toll Brothers application).
